For $80 worth of oxycodone pills, a former employee sold information on 68 customers of a Treasure Coast Lexus dealer — and bought herself a 30-month sentence, federal officials said this week.
Micheline Eppolito, 29, of Jensen Beach, worked at Treasure Coast Lexus on U.S. 1 in Fort Pierce and was convicted for her role in a stolen identity tax fraud scheme, according to Wifredo Ferrer, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida.
Her attorney declined comment Monday.
She sold printouts with customer information to someone who intended to use the information to file false tax returns, prosecutors said. The Palm Beach Post previously blogged about the case here.
Her sentence also includes $600 restitution and three years of supervised release, documents show.
