  3. Florida health insurers seek an average 17.7 percent increase in 2017 Affordable Care Act individual health insurance plans.
  4. Whoops, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida rate increases up to 11.6 percent not intended for public eyes were spotted by The Palm Beach Post on healthcare.gov. The company said they were not necessarily the final rates.

  5. Companies asked for premium increases up to 148 percent for long term care insurance in Florida and were granted up to 53 percent since 2010, leaving some seniors to say they are getting “crushed.”
